About Us

Who We Are

Mitchell Backflow Testing is an owner-operated backflow prevention testing business based in Beaumont, Texas. When you call, you talk to the person who shows up and does the work.

Owner-operated testing

Mitchell Backflow Testing is run by Kevin Mitchell, a licensed Texas backflow prevention assembly tester. The business covers annual certification testing, repair and rebuild work, and new-install verification for commercial properties, irrigation systems, and homes.

Backflow preventers are mechanical devices — springs, seals, check valves and relief valves that wear out, collect debris, and fail without any visible warning. A property owner has no way to tell by looking whether an assembly still protects the water supply. Testing it once a year, with calibrated gauges, is what turns a guess into documentation.

Every test produces a written pass or fail. Passing assemblies are documented and filed with the water purveyor. Failing assemblies are explained in plain terms, with the repair or replacement options laid out so you know what the fix involves before anything is done.
